Dennis Foggia and Maximo Quiles are looking forward to the race at the Lusail International Circuit
The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team riders arrive in Qatar with a good taste in their mouths after the Grand Prix of the Americas. However, Maximo Quiles was one of the protagonists of the weekend after he completed an exciting debut by taking the front row of the grid and finishing the race in fifth position. The Spanish rider stood up to the more experienced riders on the grid and showed his full potential for the coming rounds, despite the fact that he will be facing an unfamiliar circuit again this weekend.
Dennis Foggia heads into the Qatar Grand Prix with a good feeling after a very competitive weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, where he finished seventh. The CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team rider continues to polish details to take another step forward and fight for the top positions in the standings to continue improving his results with the team. Meanwhile, José Antonio Rueda was the winner of the Moto3 race, which allowed him to increase the gap to second and third overall, Ángel Piqueras and Adrián Fernández.
Dennis Foggia: “Lusail is a track I like a lot, where I have always been strong. It is a very fast track and I think we will enjoy it a lot. We will take advantage of the weekend to make another step forward with the used tyres and to increase our confidence with the new tyres.”
Máximo Quiles: “This weekend in Qatar we will have to forget what we did in Austin, and start from scratch, as it will be a new track for me. We went from less to more, calmly, and I will try to do the same this time as well. I want to keep enjoying myself, I don't have the nerves to make my debut, I know how the races go and how to manage the tyres better. I'm looking forward to this Grand Prix.”
