GERMAN GP

Germany, next stop on the European route for the CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team

The Sachsenring circuit will be the next challenge for Dani Holgado and David Alonso, who will face the shortest track on the calendar for the first time with the Moto2

The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team continues to work hard in a year full of challenges for Dani Holgado and David Alonso. After a week's rest following their first double-header of the season, the CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team riders are now focused on the next double round, which kicks off this weekend in Germany before moving on to Brno (Czechia). Dani Holgado returned to the top 10 in the last race at Assen, which has allowed him to regain momentum ahead of the last races before the summer break. David Alonso, on the other hand, was unable to finish the race in the Netherlands after crashing in the early laps. Physical discomfort on his left arm hampered the Colombian rider, who had never had strong weekends at one of the most technical tracks. Despite this, the Moto3 world champion always looks on the bright side and applies what he has learned to future races. The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team riders remain the best rookies in the category: Dani Holgado has 43 points and David Alonso, 36.

Manu González keeps leading the standings after his podium finish at Assen and now has 159 points. Aron Canet, second in the last race, is reluctant to let his compatriot increase his advantage and remains just five points behind. Brazilian rider Diogo Moreira is third with 128 points and is establishing himself as one of the favourites after securing his first victory in the intermediate category. Jake Dixon and Barry Baltus complete the top five in the standings.

Dani Holgado: “This weekend we arrive at a very difficult circuit. Sachsenring is very technical and very small, so we will approach the Grand Prix with the aim of keeping learning and moving forward. The most important thing is to gain experience in each session to arrive at the race as prepared as possible.”

David Alonso: “I think Sachsenring will be a circuit where we’ll spend a lot of time leaning; more than Moto2, it looks as if we were doing dirt track. This week we've been training that type of riding to be as prepared as possible. It's going to be a very physically demanding weekend, so these days I've also tried to rest to recover my strength after a bit of a difficult GP at Assen.”
