The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider finished second the last race before the summer break, a result he will try to repeat in Silverstone
It has been almost a month since the Moto2 World Championship went on holidays. Now it is time to get back to action and the intermediate category heads to Silverstone to compete in the British GP, the home race of CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Jake Dixon. The British arrives in very good shape to the tenth round of the season after finishing second in Germany, the last race before the summer break. After a difficult start to the year, Dixon has managed to turn around the situation and has already achieved two podiums that allow him to enter the top 10 in the standings. In Silverstone, he will fight to get back on the podium, something he already achieved on that track in 2022. To fulfil this, the CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider will have to fight with the favourites of the category: Sergio García, Ai Ogura, Joe Roberts and Fermin Aldeguer. García has led the World Championship since the fifth race of the year, but Ogura is only seven points off after getting two victories and two podiums in the last five races. The American Joe Roberts is third, 24 points off García, while Fermín Aldeguer has climbed to fourth place after his victory in Germany.
CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara returns from the summer break with his batteries charged and eager to achieve a good result in the British GP. Guevara faces the second part of the season with great motivation to continue growing in the intermediate category and sets himself the challenge of fighting in the front group constantly. In Silverstone, the Spanish will have a new opportunity to score points, in a weekend in which he hopes to get straight to Q2 and be competitive from the first practice session.
Jake Dixon: “I am looking forward to race at home. I face this week with a totally different mentality than in 2023. The home GP is generally a stressful week, but I am going to try to focus one hundred percent on what happens on the track and on being able to complete a great weekend.”
Izan Guevara: “During this three-week break I have not stopped training, there have been no holidays. I really want to compete again. Silverstone is a track that I have always been good at, although I have never managed to get on the podium there. I will try to fight in the front group and be competitive.”
