Dixon shines with a second position in Germany

The CFMOTO Polarcube Aspar Team rider has completed his best weekend of the season

CFMOTO Polarcube Aspar Team rider Jake Dixon has achieved his best result so far this season in the German GP. The British has finished second, earning his second podium of the year, after the third position scored in the Catalan GP. Dixon has started from second position and at the start he has managed to take the lead. However, in the first laps he has lost positions and has dropped until fifth place. The CFMOTO Polarcube Aspar Team rider has not given up and by keeping a great pace throughout the race, he has been able to climb to second position. Fermín Aldeguer has won the race after taking the lead with five laps to go, and Ai Ogura has completed the podium, what allows him to reduce to seven points the distance to the World Championship leader Sergio García, who has finished seventh today.

CFMOTO Polarcube Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara has ended in thirteenth position in Sachsenring. The Spanish is satisfied with the pace he has shown, but he feels that his starting position has prevented him from being able to fight with the front group. Moto2 World Championship now has a three-week break before the tenth round of the season, the British GP.

2nd Jake Dixon (+2.159): “If I am honest, I am a little bit disappointed because I have not been able to fight for the win in the last few laps. I have lost a lot of time overtaking, because every time I have overtaken a rider he overtook me back, but that is part of the game. When I have got to second position, I have shown the same pace as Aldeguer. Step by step we are improving. This year I have learned to be calm and face each situation calmly. Difficult situations happen, you just have to know how to manage them and I think I have done it well. Now I am really enjoying it and I want to thank my team. It is a good time to compete in Silverstone.”

12+1 Izan Guevara (+10.690): “I am happy with the race. My pace has been good, but starting from thirteenth position has penalized us. If we had achieved a good starting position, we would have been able to fight to be in front. We have pushed to the end. We have a three-week break and we will be back in full strength in Silverstone.”
