The CFMOTO Inde Aspar rider took his first podium of the year in Barcelona and will fight to repeat it in Mugello, a circuit where he finished third last year
After achieving his first podium of the season in Barcelona, CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Jake Dixon arrives at the Italian Grand Prix with great motivation and with the challenge of repeating the result. The first races of the year have not been easy for the British, although he has never given up, and in the Catalan Grand Prix he was able to break the bad streak with a well-deserved third position. Dixon is confident that Barcelona has been a turning point this season and hopes to fight regularly again in the top group. With this objective he arrives at Mugello, a circuit where he already knows what it is like to get on the podium. Last season, the British finished third after a great comeback that ended overtaking Aron Canet on the last lap. This year, Canet will once again be one of the riders to take into account in the fight for the podium, a place in which World Championship leader Sergio García, his teammate Ai Ogura and Fermín Aldeguer also want to be.
CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team rider Izan Guevara wants to forget the crash he suffered in Barcelona with a great result in Mugello. The Spanish has shown great progress since the start of the season and had two consecutive races in the points before being involved in an incident in the first corner at the Catalan Grand Prix. Now, Guevara wants to continue taking steps forward in Moto2. The Italian GP is the next opportunity he has to do it and he is confident in his chances, since Mugello is a circuit that he likes and where he managed to get on the podium in his time in Moto3.
Jake Dixon: “I am sure things are going to change. In Barcelona we broke the bad streak that started at the beginning of the season and we achieved what we had been aming for so long, and now in Mugello we will try to repeat last weekend’s good result.”
Izan Guevara: “I arrive at Mugello with great enthusiasm because in Barcelona I could not even complete a lap in the race. It is a very difficult circuit, but I am going to give everything to achieve the best possible result. We are getting stronger and we will try to fight to be ahead.”
