CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team at its best shape before Misano

Dani Holgado and David Alonso will compete this weekend in the final round before traveling to Asia and coming from back-to-back wins.

The CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team is approaching the sixteenth round of the season at its peak. Dani Holgado and David Alonso have achieved their first Moto2 victories in the last rounds held in Barcelona and Hungary. The intermediate class rookies are constantly showing their progress, and the work done by the entire team continues to bear fruit. Last weekend, Holgado's victory allowed the CFMOTO Aspar Team to achieve back-to-back Moto2 wins for the first time in its history. Furthermore, Alonso staged a great comeback at the Catalan Grand Prix, allowing him to draw new conclusions to continue improving in the coming weeks. Both travel to Misano this week for the last European round before the final stretch of the championship begins in Asia. The Misano World Circuit is a venue where both have achieved great results: Alonso has stood on the top step of the podium on two of the three occasions he has competed at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, while Holgado finished second in 2024.

Holgado's victory in Barcelona has allowed him to climb to seventh place in the Moto2 standings, where he lies just 40 points off the top five, while Alonso remains in fourteenth place with 76 points. Both continue to occupy the top two positions in the rookie of the year standings. At the top of the overall standings, Manu González remains the strongest rider, having widened his lead over Aron Canet to 38 points after the latter suffered a heavy crash in the race. Brazilian Diogo Moreira remains in third place, followed by Barry Baltus and Jake Dixon, who also finished on the podium in Barcelona.

Dani Holgado: “The win in Barcelona gives me extra motivation for this weekend. It gives me more confidence, but I'm still not putting any pressure on myself. We're on the right line, and I want to continue working with the team in the same way. I'm happy with how I've adapted to this category and the bike; we just must continue like this at Misano and in the upcoming races.”

David Alonso: “We arrive at Misano with no time to rest, which is something that helps us maintain our rhythm. The goal is to try to be more active from day one and improve on what we saw in Barcelona. We must be on track as much as possible without stopping, without looking for a reference, and giving it our all.”
